The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
